We keep things simple and agile

Seeking legal help often come across as cumbersome and costly. Access to legal services in regional areas has its own distinct challenges.

With increasing expectations and demanding hours in the profession, unfortunately a good number will delay seeking help until the problem has metastasised.

We recognise this longstanding issue.

So we're taking the lead to be part of the solution, focusing on delivering legal services differently to healthcare professionals (ie not Jack that services all trades).

Under the NewLaw concept, we keep things simple and agile in how we deliver legal services to you. This means we utilise tech as much as possible for efficiency in order to focus on handling your actual legal matter.

We ARE - Accessible, Reliable, Efficient and without charging as the clock ticks (you will not be invited to an opulent office and go away with a hefty bill - we promise).

Meet the Team

Throughout my 14-year career, I have always enjoyed working with private clients.

It started in a private trustee department of an investment bank in Malaysia where I subsequently led the department for 3 years before returning to Australia. During my 6-year stint as a trustee, I had the privilege of meeting and advising business owners of small and public listed companies alike. To be entrusted to advise, structure and carry out deeply personal instructions relating to succession and wealth distribution was a role I undertook with a great sense of responsibility.

Since returning to Australia in 2011, I have been in private legal practice focusing on immigration and administrative law. Immigration law (being the most political and volatile area of law) was extremely challenging but at the same time exhilarating and rewarding. The constant changes in law kept us on our toes, having to form alternative solutions for clients within tight time constraints.

Practicing immigration law had inadvertently led me into other areas of law especially dealing with businesses with intention to sponsor foreign talents. In this instance, I often look into the businesses' financials, employment practices, regulatory compliance and its overall business practices.

Late 2017, I started assisting healthcare professionals in matters they encounter whilst in practice such as, contractual dispute with vendors, unfavourable employment terms, brewing negligence claims, patients complaints etc... One observation that stood out was medicos often are completely engrossed in practicing good medicine (and so they should) that they place other regulatory and business compliance on the back burner. Dealing with these matters becomes such a burden to some that they would rather shelf it as long as they can.

It became obvious that unlike tech / hospitality / retail start-ups or other businesses, healthcare professionals are not accessing NewLaw services enjoyed by others. With our Advisors on board, we believe it is time you too benefit from Accessible, Reliable and Efficient legal services.
